Home brewed plant food...

I thought I'd share how it goes with the making of the Home Made Plant Food Brew.
Firstly the nettles.
You can apparently cut nettles from the roadside, you cannot however dig them up!  We live next to an unkempt patch of hillside which rife with nettles and thorns so acquiring the nettles is nice and easy.

A LOT of nettles are needed, pack them tightly into the bucket...make sure you really squash them down

Cover them with water and put the bucket out of reach/sight of the kiddos

Finally we wait...reasonably patiently for a month...lets step away, no need to give it a poke or prod just let it be.

Im not sure if this can be used on indoor plants as well?
The compost I used for the strawberries had food in it to last 6weeks so this will be brewed right on time to give them a top up.
I also have no idea how long this will last?  Hoping that in an up-cycled milk container kept in the shade it will keep long enough for the strawberries.

The gardeners out there might have the answers?
As a side thought can the home brew be used on grass to help it grow?  Surely wouldn't do any harm?
But Im getting ahead of myself again, need to level the ground and scatter the grass seed before watching it grow!

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
