Tell me Mr Homebase...

what is the point of your online reservation service?

It failed me miserably Friday and Im more than a tad disappointed.

Long story short, parasol out of stock locally but instock 16miles away, I reserve to collect and head out after hubby finished work.  Arrive to be told they have my reservation details but the parasol is out of stock, but there are 6 available a further 30miles up the road.
No they cant get 1 of those 6 to me, no they cant get 1 of those 6 to my local store, no they can't tell me where the 1 they show in stock actually is, no bloody no to it all.

So we wasted a 35mile round trip, an hour of our time and simply shouldn't have bothered it seems.

Sod em, 
they're more expensive in general than Mr BnQ and I only go there to get a few extra Nectar points

So Mr BnQ lets see what you have to offer...Im looking for a parasol, garden table and chairs, paint for the kiddos room, grass seed or maybe a bit of turf - oh and Im also pricing up for a new shed...

To be honest Im not picky about where it all comes from.
Any DIY store want to offer a bit of service? 
Im not asking for a Latte, pedicure or anything extra, 
just have the stock in that you said you have online, that you said you'd put aside.  
We could try this...maybe I give you hard earned £'s in exchange for that stock??
Should be a win, win for both of us!

  1. well put.... how bloody annoying though! it would have been nice if they had checked this before you drove over and maybe gave you a call to say it's not there :-(
