Mr Homebase, an update...

I may just have to eat a spot of pie, not quite humble but...

Whilst over at the store getting the good news that we'd traveled for no purpose, I asked them to search which stores had the parasol in stock.  We have 2 stores in our town, neither were showing stock when I searched but 1 was showing on their system.  They called and it was on a customer reservation {oh the irony} and was on hold till 8pm that night.  If it wasn't collected I could have it...

Roll on Saturday and I go to the store to get paint {well they have Dulux 5litres for the price of 2.5litres + 15% off. So what should have been £33 goes down to just under £17} and to see if the parasol had been picked up as we didn't get the call to say yay or nay.

Turns out it hadn't but was on hold till 8pm Saturday, not Friday.

We then get a call Sat night to say it is ours after all, customer didn't collect and it went back into stock and was put on hold for us!! 

YAY!!

So not only did we get the parasol, reduced from £49.99 to £19.99 BUT we ALSO got a further 15% off!!
Talk about a lucky break or what...
