Pleased to say we DID go conkering!
We went back to our favourite conker tree which has never failed to give us a large bag of the most GIGANTICOUS, ENOURMOUS conkers.
The weather was blah here early today so we left it till we picked RV up from school and we had a lovely sunny patch. We only had a short time as RV has soccer academy on a Monday evening so had to dash home for him to get a snack & changed.
Another trip is planned after school in a couple of days...to give the tree more time to drop a few more bombs
:-)
Tomorrow should be easy to achieve my goal, can't see the kiddo's complaining about being given free range on the bakery counter?!
This rut must end soon I've looked back and it's I've been wallowing for around a month now...and these are not the memories I want the kiddos to have of their mama.
{{On a side note I was watching QI (or was it Planet Word - something Stephen Fry) the other night and they had a symbol that was a cross between a ? and a ! the two combined and reading my posts I need this symbol in my life. I spend my time in a state of constant surprise and disbelief which is about right really. Cant for the life of me remember what it was called though - a BlunderBang, Terrabang?}}
I think it was a Terrabang, I watched that program too, it was Qi :-)
ReplyDeleteI love conker collecting, especially when they're still in their cases and you have to open them up
Evel-lin (from NM's)
