Day 11 of the Holidays...

It has been HOT HOT HOT this week
Sweltering, melting, drippingly hot....
and we have loved it.

We have been going here...

once a day, some days twice a day

When the pool is busy we have to que to get a band to swim; which is no hardship as we pitch out the front, the little ones get to burn of a bit of energy and I get a 5minute sit down before the work of chasing Loopy and Fonzy around begins.

Sometimes we're ready to jump in the pool before we leave the house which makes everyone smile when they see him clad in arm bands in the car park!

We've also been eating a fair few of these...

RV has recovered completely from his arguement with the car...amazing how they quite literally bounce back.
He's been at soccer camp this week, missing Monday as he was a bit too bruised and sore and to be fair completely exhausted having not got back from A&E till after 11pm on Sunday.
The coaches at soccer school have been wonderful; they've been challenged with the weather but have ensured that all the kids get enough to drink and plenty of breaks.
I'm trying to get a photo of him, but it's hard to pick him out of the pitch without getting the others in the shot.  I'll try again to get one of him at the end of the day; he'll get to my age and wonder if it really happened, did he really go to the Chelsea FC soccer school?
Friday is the big trip to the Chelsea FC training ground; they get to play on the same pitches as the 1st team (who wont be there as they're training abroad) and a bit of a presentation.

The weather today (yep still on weather watch) was very wet but incredibly humid.  If I hadn't have been so time pressed I would have taken Fonzy to the pool in the rain - I mean we're going to get wet anyway!

Loopy had her day at summer camp and the extra swim practice paid dividends as she was one of the more confident younger ones in the pool today; 2 of the camp staff came over to tell me how well she did.
And another budding artist she comes home with some lovely art work.

So finally a post with a photo!
I'm out of the low I was in at the beginning of the week, the laundry is under control, the children are having a great holiday so far and we're looking forward to a couple of days at the seaside before the end of the holidays.

I'm grateful that my little family are happy and healthy, focusing on enjoying the here and now, trying my hardest to stop blinking and trying to imprint these precious younger years on my rusty old brain cells.

I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
