Day 5 and still here...

maybe it's a bit too soon to be optimistic but it's been good!

Mornings are proving to be the 'work' time with them, once they've had breakfast and gotten dressed they soon become restless.  With the good weather (weather watch will continue daily for the rest of the holidays) it's easily remedied in that they go outside and burn off some steam and energy.  Lunch is another good distraction, after which Fonzy has a nap and the others get to hang out with their bigger friends minus their little bro.

Today we went to the open air pool, no photography or filming is allowed, so although I can't show you what a blast we had take my word for it we did!
Fonzy was a revelation - he was just so confident, bobbing along, playing with us all and making his own new friends.  Loopy was probably over confident and took a dunk under which knocked her confidence back a bit.  Despite the fact he can swim RV he spent most of the time splashing with the little ones in the shallow parts.

We only stayed over an hour today, the weather was cloudy when we left home but brightened up considerably for the time we were there.  We could have stayed all day, the kids would have loved to but I wasn't equipped (lunch, tent for Fonzy nap, etc.) and didn't feel like winging it today.

A bag of toys is packed back into the car ready for the next trip, towels are out on the line, one small boy fast asleep in his bed, one mama with a lovely cuppa and 5 other children reasonably entertained

and tomorrow is Saturday...weather forecast is sunny
Sunday is boot sale and guess what?...weather forecast is sunny!

Yep so far so very good...

PS
I promise not to make this a regular thing...the whole posting without pictures.
The idea of the blog is to record family life as I see it daily, highs and lows.  Recording it with both words and photos - it was after all one of my New Years Resolutions to take more photos and why I spent my Christmas & Birthday pennies on a camera.
I know all too well how quickly the time they are small passes so quickly defying the sands of time...
as we say here
'no more blinking'

So a photo a day should be a must to catch the moments when I blink.

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
