and not a single photo of either!
Fonzy's birthday was last week and he is now a MASSIVE 2.
It was supposed to be a quiet day for just our little family, my sister and her daughter and we had invited 2 of their friends from the area to tea & cake.
Loopy it seems had other plans.
I should have had warning when at 3.45pm there was a knock at the door and two little faces eagerly asked what time they should be here for cake?! Their faces were so keen that I didnt have the heart to say no, and told them to be here for 5pm.
From 4.30pm onwards little faces kept appearing, we ended up with an additional 10 yes I did say 10! It turned out that Loopy was so excited that Fonzy was having a birthday that she invited all known friends (apparently not all who were invited made it!).
What would have been a feast for our little family was filled out and made into enough to fill the extras and cupcakes, which are always made enourmous were shared between the masses.
It may sound like hell to some but it was one of the best little tea parties ever and the noise made when we all (23) sang Happy Birthday would have rocked a concert!
The good thing about having a large family it would seem is that I can always throw something together to make a meal stretch and most improtantly life is never dull!

Lolly's birthday was this week and was a calmer affair. She is now officially a teenager - and all that implies. In fairness she has been practising being a teen with great enthusiasm for some time but it will be nice to put a label on some of the things and shrug our shoulders; muttering as we twitch something about being a teen.
She had masses of cards and prezzies from her lovely friends, even her older bro & sis bought her gifts - something she was very, very pleased with.
We managed to limit the numbers for pizza to the family (which obviously included my sis & her daughter and Abba's boyfriend) so there were just the 11 to cater for and thankfully this time we all managed to have a cupcake each!

Sounds hectic but very fun in your house :-)
