Didnt want to mention it too soon, just in case they were a couple of flukes, but it would seem that he is now happy & ready to sleep through!!! Words cant do justice to how much more alive I feel after a couple of whole nights sleep. Its been 2 years since I slept through without having to wake, of course there will still be nights when one of the others will need something, last night Lillly wanted to hop in bed with us and woke me up for a pillow...but you cant have it all.
So my empty nest..not entirely empty but far too quiet. Im sure come September when I have Llilly at home as well as Fonzy that I will be moaning of the non stop chatter & noise but today it was too quiet. The upside was that I got through a barrel of laundry, the weather was light & breezy and it dried on the line in a flash. I managed to put the lovely linen tablecloth I picked up at the Booty for £3 through the wash and th last couple fo stains left bleached out in the sun.
Managed to get a bit more done on project wardrobe, just really now waiting for Bob or his dad to put some shelves into it to complete the grafting bits then I can move on to a bit more primping before giving you & me the grand unveil! Once its done it will mean I can get the sewing machine out - YAY!!
oh how i know how you feel re sleep, little sweetpea is 2 1/2 and just started to sleep most of the night - waahoo! My house was far too quiet today so I went out all day until they got home to distract myself :-) Strange how i crave time for less madness but when it comes I miss the mayhem.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly how you feel, years ago when we had just the 3 my in-laws took them to the seaside for a week, we lasted one day by ourselves, decorated the house almost top to bottom, gardened till late at night then drove down the next evening to spend the week with them!
