Ack its been a long week for some here.
#4 started the week with sickness & diarrhea, the sickness stopped but his tummy has been poorly all week. #5 came out in sympathy on Friday and today Dada went to bed at lunchtime.
#1 had a call from the hospital as well, they had had a high potasium level from her bloods 2days earlier so we were asked to go straight to A&E for a retest. Thankfully it was an error on the first test & she was allowed home.
The plus side of having #4 home has been that we have spent lots of lovely mornings together whilst #6 naps & #5 is at nursery.
We've read books & doodled to our hearts content, we froze some sea creatures (whales, sharks etc) in water in an ice-cream carton to see how water changes form, made lots of lovely bird feeders to see the graden birds through the winter, Ive had a most willing helper to do the grocery shopping with, we've folded laundry & shared jokes. In short it's been a bit like a honeymoon.
The nights are early and long, Ive been craving shortbread! No idea why and it has to be cherry shortbread too. #3 was an angel today and made a HUGE batch of it for all of us. The house has smelt edible today, she's busied herself in the kitchen, making the first batch of mince pies as well today.
Im looking forward to sharing the gingerbread recipe with her, can you imagine how delicious weekends will be? Shortbread & Gingerbread mmmmn!
Ive not done my shopping comparison this week, my helper and I were far too busy counting & comparing almost everything in store that in all honesty I just plain forgot about it.
Here's hoping for a week with no illness, hopefull but not really expecting it!

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
