Almost another week

How is it possible for almost another week to fly by till I get back here?

So much each day that happens and yet so little each day to write. Well what have I been up to then?

A trip to the Designer Baby Show last Sunday saw another couple of nappies sneak into the house, I justify them as market research - honest! The show was really quite nice, not as busy as I had hoped it would be or even expected but the stands there were lovely. Far too many pretties, but thankfully a lot of trinkets that I can say no to. Not like nappies which are of course needed.

Well we had a winner on Clothie Bots for the give-away...I actually quite enjoyed it and will look to make it a semi regular thing. A few new things happening at the store but nothing to write about yet. (YET)

Kids are all back to school, no illness this week. Everyone seems to be enjoying school. #4 had a trip to the Roald Dahl museum and has come back with a thirst for reading. #3 loves Roald Dahl and is so far more than happy to indulge him with a story whilst Im pulling dinner together.
#4's reading has come on leaps & bounds recently. Words & books that were hard work for him a few weeks back are now read with great confidence.

Our Autumn table is looking a bit worse for wear now, the leaves are dying and the balze of autumn colour has now all but gone.

Overnight the wind blew the last few leaves off the trees, almost funny how we had a carpet of luscious orange on the front lawn.

Yesterday for the first time in weeks I saw a rare sight! The bottom of one of the laundry baskets...you might laugh but its a mighty achievment and Im feeling almost giddy with the joy!

On the downside my grocery bill is still climbing, storecubboard staples are ever increasing. Pasta up from 76p a bag to £1.08 in the space of a year, I guess it can only get worse.

Just to humour me and focus my mind Im going to make a list of around a dozen items I buy almost every week and compare the prices week in week out.

Hmmmn now what does a family of 8 NEED every week?
Bread
Milk
Bananas
Cheese
Chicken
Pasta
Potatoes
Minced Beef
Loo Rolls
Butter
Flour
Eggs

That should do it, now to figure out how to make this list stick somewhere so I can update it....

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
