sad maybe but this little tidy has made the world of difference for me and our home-edding!
No more wasting time locating bits, everything is now in a logical order...
Literacy, Numeracy and pens etc. Notice the maths shelf is a bit empty? Hmmn working on this
The books have been culled...More than half went to either charity shop or boot sale. Top shelves are for the older kiddos and we even have space to add to them. Complete change from how it was before which left us unable to locate anything!
Games that need a bit of adult supervision or have small pieces we could lose are kept on a higher shelf, out of eyeline
Below the games shelf worksheets that have been cut up and some spelling blocks. Rarely used but still to hand. Books are Loopys news book, a reading record book and a couple of workbooks.
As I said not exciting but it all makes sense and is easy for us to use
it's exciting to me. i am a firm believer in Tidy house, tidy mind! I can't function with clutter and this sort of organising makes my heart sing lol
ReplyDelete3 children ago we had enough space to have a tidy home, now we have too many people in too small a house. I still keep chipping away at the mess but it is a daily grind...{sigh}
