What a wonderfully busy weekend it's been!
Saturday was a trip out to the Sewing and Craft Show at Olympia with Lolly, my sister and my niece. The show wasn't all I hoped or expected...far too busy and crammed to enjoy a look at the stalls and it felt a bit like a supermarket sale for cross stitch BUT I did enjoy the experience although not sure if I'd go again.
As it wasn't what I was hoping or expecting we finished quite early, a lot earlier than I'd thought we would and I didn't spend what I had expected to either...so
on the bus back to the train we spotted one of the best patisseries in the world!
Valeries Patisserie...
It would have been rude not to have jumped off the bus at the stop and pop in for a spot of lunch, wouldn't it?...
I had the afternoon tea, lovely warmed scones, with fresh clotted cream, real tea and a frothy coffee
...bliss
The girls all had a hot lunch and we took a cake to have at home for the girlies...but when asked what cake she would like my sister insisted that she only wanted this one...
We were quite envious of all the young gents popping in to pick up a mothers day cake or two...there are some very lucky mummies out there :)

Sunday may have been Mothers Day but I had my treat on the Saturday and it was a big day for...
Bob took RV to watch their team play at home and they had a blast...Torres scored not once but twice, his first goals since joining the club. RV has had his Torres shirt since Torres joined and wore it Saturday and will I suspect wear it training at Chelsea on Monday night!
Wish you could bottle the excitement in his voice as he told me all about the goals and atmosphere.
Add to all this a lovely selection of handmade cards from the younger 4, homemade Mothers Day bunting, a cup of tea, chocolates through the day and it was quite simply a super weekend!
Hope you all had a lovely Mothers Day...to those whose mama's are no longer with them and those whose babes were taken too early my heartfelt loving thoughts were with you on Sunday

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
