Oh I do like to be...

beside the seaside.

We have been able to afford a couple of days away at the seaside this year!
I can't express how refreshing, invigorating and needed this little break is.

Day 1 and the first beach...
Boscombe Beach

Loopy has turned out to be part mermaid, part fish and part small child.  She is in her costume before the rest of us have had a chance to find a spot on the beach and is the last one out of the water.

The water was a bit too choppy for Fonzy who decided that he would much prefer to build sandcastles with Dadda

RV it seems is a bit too cool for actually swimming in the sea, this doesn't surprise me as he was always a bit wary of it as a small boy...I can't help but think Fonzy will follow suit.

Just because he wasn't in the water didn't stop Fonzy from trying to inflate his beach/water ball.

Boscombe Beach is the UK's first man made surf reef.  Although they've not quite got it right, the water is choppy but we didn't see much surfing action.

Despite its trendy image it is still a wonderful good old fashioned British seaside, complete with deckchairs and seagulls lingering in the hope for a scrap or two.

When we finally get Loopy out of the water it's not long after this...

that she's back in there...

The lifeguards have gone all trendy too...
Ah I can remember them in deckchairs!

Always inventive to keep us busy whilst Loopy was still in the water we had a game of knock the tin over...

Finally we left the beach...headed to our budget hotel to check in and drop off a few bags before we headed out for a trip to Poole Quay.  We didn't stay long the wind was chilly off the sea and we were pretty pooped after the drive down and hours of sea.
We sat by the harbour and watched the boats from the warmth of our car and had company

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
