Rainy weekends and such...

Gah after a lovely week the weather turned on me Friday night!
Lolly and I had a FAB time after the movies, we ate popcorn, drank soda and even treated ourselves to a Nandos for supper.

I loved the Harry Potter! There I've said it out loud - not sure what anyone else thinks of it but we loved it.  I'll even confess to shedding a tear or two... I know, I know old enough to know better and all that.
Another confession...I've never been to Nandos before!  I know again old enough to have at least been there once but there you go.  I liked it - spicey and filling.

We got home just in time to grab the laundry off the line, put the Priddy Priddy WIP into the shed and haul the various blankets/dens inside before the heavy rain came down.  And boy oh boy did it rain.

So what's a mama to do on a rainy weekend, well clad the kiddos in wellies and rainmacs before turfing them out into the garden.  But that can only last a day before the neighbours Im sure will think that they are not allowed in the house!
So rainy Sunday in London again!

This time we headed to Carnaby Street.  Not the hub of fashion that it used to be in fact really quite comercial but near to a few stores that H enjoys looking through.  Then add to that Liberty's is at the top and Hamleys is around the corner then you get a bit more of a family shopping trip.

Liberty's , 3rd Floor
Yarns & Fabrics!
!!SQUEEL!!
And guess what for a London store really friendly shop assistants!  They were lovely, they knew their onions and friendly even to the kiddos!

Hamleys
Hmmm
Well the staff are great too but the store is soo condensed, not enough natural light, way too many people, far too hot and for me just a bit too much.
Kids obviously had a blast, lots of demos of quirky toys, lots of toys to gawp at.

We did well dodging the showers, and the streets smelt wet, which in London is a pleasant change to some of the summer smells!

Has to be said though when we went to Harrods (when I was preggers with Loopy) we enjoyed their toy department more!  They had a kiddie sized Hummer out and let my then brood of 4 clamber all over it and even encouraged them?  It was obvious that we didn't have the tens of thousands £ needed to buy it but they were happy to entertain us!
Also we bought an Ice Cream Sunday thing at a diner place in their and it was too HUGE for all of us to finish!  Oh and add to that they have a Krispie Cream doughnut store in there were you get them hot off the wires. Oh and lets not forget the Jelly Bean counter!
Argh and if that's not enough Valeries Pattiserie is just down the road and almost opposite the Natural History Museum!

Hmmmn wonder where we'll be going next trip into town?!

An illegal post I hear you cry?  No photo's??
Well I have two photos of H in the car park next to a Bentley & a Noble!
Then the batteries died and refused to play.
Mental note made to self to always charge batteries.

Thanks for popping by...I love to hear from you and really appreciate you taking the time.
I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
