I clocked online this Saturday and on one of the first blogs I checked into was this lovely post
It was the kick up the bottom I needed to tidy my own front porch!
It was a shameful, neglected, scruffy mess - reflecting my feelings to the area we live in and the people we share the area with.
So I grabbed the mower, the strimmer, garden gloves and set to work. The grass is a tiny patch and the hard work was on the other side where the weeds had set in and the rubish had blown into them.
After a fair amount of effort, lots of rubbish and the purchase of a new yard mat I was able to stand back with a bit more pride than it probably deserves.
This is the sight that now welcomes us all home from wherever our busy day has taken us
After all home is where the heart is
The mat was bought from the ever lovely Cocoa Bean of Windsor
but the inspiration is entirely from We Bloom Here
And the wellies?...
well they were found in the shed, which I cleared to fit the boot box in. They're a bit mouldy and are the next project for the front door!

I love your doormat! I bought a new one last week, but it isn't as lovely as this one.
