Well in keeping with my resolution to take more photos, I've borrowed #3's camera for a few snow photos!
Harvey just before he leaned a bit too far over and shot off the edge! The sledge he's on was mine as a child, we call it the 'antique' and its super fast. Nothing we have bought in the past 20years has come anywhere near close to beating it. It was made in Germany and obviously has a bit of German engineering in it!
I had began to doubt that the snow would come this way, we waited and waited. Then finally a few flakes fell, then a few more, then they grew larger and then it simply fell from the skies! We kept a look out all evening and there was no let up on the snow.
#3 & #4 had the binoculars and were watching the last few cars skidding down and across the many hills that surround us. Squeels of excitement & fear when cars skidded of course or bumped (mainly excitement in all honesty)
So when we woke early we were most pleased to see that arouond 5inches of snow had fallen over night!
#3 made the smaller ones a snowlady, complete with an ample bossom!
We took the sledges out and started work on making our sledging track...the snow was too deep to plunge down the slope so some work was required.
#5 got bored and cold quickly but #4 stuck with me till we had managed to create our track. And after a break for lunch we were soon back out.
Lilly whizzing down on the smaller sledge.

Of course it soon degenerated into a snowball fight, egged on mainly by Dad!
A bit too cold for #6, so he sat by the window in his highchair shouting instructions and giggling at the snowballs that hit the window.
At the end of our time outside the street was quiet and abandoned. Little feet were warming back up and a big snuggle on the sofa was awaiting.

I am sorry about having to ask you to prove you're not a robot but for some reason I am having a LOT of spam nowadays {and we're not talking fritters!}
